bearded / Power Rankins Dragon question?

I just got either a chameleon (little scared now that would be too hard …) or whisker / Rankins Dragon. I was wondering if and how you can substitute the meat live insects or something like that (no no questions about the chameleon, of course)? site says you can give them dog food …? please reply if experience really personal with these animals! (And please do not get mad and tells me off for not wanting to feed animal correctly! I do my research and it's just a question – I'm not saying I would not give the animal what it needs)

you do not want to give your dragon bearded dog food. It is too rich in fat for one. I did not even want to give my Savannah Monitor that strictly eats meat. Cat food is a little better than dog food, but I give the cat food to a dragon. as age, vegetables become their main power. They are specially formulated foods dragon, which can be something you might like may also be interested lyophilized insects, or wax / super / silk worms, and sometimes they can be kept refrigerated.
